The Earth has a protective ‘shield’ called the ozone. The ozone protects the Earth from the sun. We are destroying the ozone by putting harmful gases into the air. Without the ozone, the sun can destroy the Earth. Trees take in carbon dioxide, which is what we breathe out. We breathe in oxygen, which is what trees produce. With people cutting down trees, humans won’t have enough oxygen and we will eventually die out. So what can we do to help? Try to reuse things when you can. Be sure to recycle things a lot. Hop on a bike to go short distances. These acts can help preserve the Earth.
